Soul Clap presents: Dancing On The Charles

Source: La.Ga.Sta.

Soul Clap, the duo of Charles Levine and Eli Goldstein, recently dropped a superb new compilation showcasing what’s good coming out of their hometown, Boston. Entitled “Soul Clap presents Dancing On The Charles: A Boston Electronic Music Story” (named after the infamous outdoor parties they used to throw together in the late ’00s), the compilation features tracks from Chaz Bronz, Bon Johnson, Clifflight, Bosq & Kon, Caserta, John Barera, among others.

Here, we have the anonymous album opener, “I Want Your Love”, a seductive slow jam that sounds so good. This uncredited track was passed to Soul Clap by their close friend Benoit Simon, one half of Benoit & Sergio. Give it a spin below.

The compilation is out now through Soul Clap’s eponymous label.

Black Body: “The Ride”

Source: La.Ga.Sta.

This is just a ride. Little is known about Black Body, but thankfully their great new track “The Ride” speaks for itself. Expect six-and-a-half minutes of driving, chilled-out bliss with quotes from the legendary comedian Bill Hicks:

“The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think that it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills, and it’s very brightly coloured, and it’s very loud and it’s fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question – is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us. They say ‘Hey! Don’t worry, don’t be afraid, ever, because, this is just a ride.” Don’ t miss this ride!

Black Body’s “The Ride” arrives on June 17th via OCD Records.

A/Jus/Ted feat. Miss Bee: “Stay Up Here”

Source: La.Ga.Sta.

It’s time to get a/jus/ted. NYC veteran studio whiz Justin Strauss and Brooklyn producer Teddy Stuart, better known as Eddie Mars, have joined forces to create a new project, called A/Jus/Ted. As we read, since meeting in early 2012, the duo has been hard at work in the studio, crafting unique, synth-inspired dance music.

Having impressed with their great first single “A Brighter Light”, featuring Jeremy Glenn’s soulful vocals, for Under The Shade, A/Jus/Ted bring more heat with their brand new single, “Stay Up Here”. This time round, the duo has teamed up with London’s singer/songwriter Miss Bee to deliver an almost eight-minute slow-burning disco jam with an atmospheric feel that will leave you begging for more. We love it!

“Stay Up Here” will drop digitally on May 20th via Southern Fried. In the meantime, you can stream the full version of the track above. Just in case you missed it, check out A/Jus/Ted’s “A Brighter Light” below. Ride on!
